The de Paul Difference | School Fundraising Video Production
"Before I came to de Paul, I didn't really know how to learn." Produced for the de Paul School, this advancement film tells the school's story through its students and alumni — including a graduate who once begged to stay home from school, went on to college, and now teaches at de Paul "to the kids who are like me."
We built the film around the school's own refrain — I am the de Paul difference — letting student voices make the case for support more powerfully than any statistic could. Fundraising film at its most direct: real kids, real transformation, real ask.

Video Transcript:
Life before de Paul... it was very difficult. I would ask my mom every day if I could stay home from school. I hated it. I was getting really behind in my work. All the kids knew everything except me. If I had a question, there wasn't enough time to answer the question. It made me feel kind of stupid. They didn't try to understand. I didn't feel like I had a place. I mean, I was pretty broken. Before I came to de Paul, I didn't really know how to learn.
They gave me the tools to succeed. I just remember feeling really accepted here — like I found a home. I went on to college, which wasn't even an option at one point in time, and graduated. And now I'm here, teaching. I'm here at home, teaching — to the kids who are like me.
We need your support. Your support means everything. I'd get left behind without your help. You helped me get where I am today. Your generosity helped me achieve my dreams. We can't do it without you.
I am the de Paul difference. I am the de Paul difference. I am the de Paul difference.
