Kindred Hospital - Success Stories | Healthcare Video Production Louisville

Kindred Hospital is a long-term acute care facility that treats patients with complex, serious medical conditions requiring extended, intensive care. During the COVID-19 pandemic, that mission took on new urgency — and new meaning — as the facility became a critical resource for patients whose recovery extended far beyond the acute phase of the virus.

We produced this montage to capture what that experience looked like from both sides of the care relationship. The video weaves together the voices of patients — some of whom went 56 days without seeing their families, relying entirely on the nursing and medical staff around them — with the voices of the staff who treated them. Doctors, nurses, and therapists speak to what it meant to show up every day in the middle of a pandemic, setting aside their own fears to deliver the same standard of care Kindred is built on.

Three patients close the piece by identifying themselves as COVID survivors — including a physician who was himself a patient. That detail carries weight. When a doctor credits the team at Kindred with getting him back on his feet faster than he expected, it lands differently than a standard testimonial.

The result is a short, emotionally direct piece that communicates something important about institutional character: that the quality of care at Kindred isn't procedural, it's personal. For a healthcare brand navigating one of the most scrutinized moments in modern medicine, that's exactly the story worth telling.

Video Transcript:

It's great to be a part of a team that's able to fight this pandemic. Everybody put their best self forward and didn't let the nervousness they might have had about the virus get in the way of the care we provide our patients.

I couldn't see my family. The staff became my family. That was all I had for 56 days. The nurses and doctors kept giving me hope that I was going to be okay, that I was strong, and that I was going to make it. I'm grateful for everything that they have done for me. We can have a huge impact on their life, helping them get back to who they were before. I came there scared and depressed and worried about if I would ever be able to even stand again. To watch him walk down my hall and go home, it's things like that that tell you that you have an amazing group of individuals doing amazing work. When you see these patients, you get to know them. A little bit of your heart is with them, and then they get to go home and see their family after so long and actually live like they were living before, and it's so incredible to see.

I am Carla, and I'm a COVID survivor. I'm Eddie. I'm a COVID survivor. Dr. Buford Mora. I'm a plastic surgeon and a COVID survivor. I wouldn't be where I am as quickly as I am without those guys. Incredibly grateful for everything that they've done because they are truly the heroes on the frontline of this pandemic.
