Old World Christmas Ornament Swap | Event Video Production

Some events exist to make history — and somebody has to be there to prove it happened. We filmed the Old World Christmas largest ornament exchange in Portsmouth, Ohio, the day the town set an official Guinness World Record, with a Guinness adjudicator on site to witness and verify it. The result is a highlight film full of the energy, color, and holiday spirit of a whole community coming together to pull it off.

Portsmouth has made a bit of a habit of chasing records, and this one fit right in — a big, joyful, only-happens-once kind of day the organizers can use to promote both the event and the record for years.

Production Challenge

A record attempt is a one-take production. There's no second chance at the moment the record falls, and with a Guinness official standing there to make it count, the pressure is real. We covered it live — the scale of the crowd, the count, and the celebration the instant it landed — so nothing about that moment got lost.
