Shelby County, Kentucky has a story worth telling — distilleries, horse country, sunflower fields, historic downtown corridors, and the kind of unhurried charm that's genuinely hard to find an hour outside a major city. The ShelbyKY Tourism Commission wanted a commercial that felt like the place: alive, fluid, and worth the drive.

We produced this 30-second spot for the "Vacation Better" campaign — a movement-driven commercial built around a single actress dancing seamlessly through each location, pulling the viewer from scene to scene in one continuous, kinetic journey. Jeptha Creed Distillery, Bulleit Bourbon, sweeping equine landscapes, and downtown Shelbyville all appear not as postcards but as places you actually want to be in.

Every shot moves. That was the creative mandate, and it's what makes the piece work.

The Production Challenge

Shooting a continuous movement-driven narrative across multiple distinct locations in a single day requires tight pre-production and disciplined execution on set. Each shot had to accommodate complex physical blocking, match available natural light, and maintain visual stability while tracking an actress through active distillery floors, uneven agricultural fields, and open landscapes. We operated as a lean crew using gimbal stabilization throughout — keeping the production efficient without sacrificing the high-end aesthetic the campaign required.
