WGI Montage
Winter Guard International is a world of performance, precision, and passion — a competitive activity built around the belief that with enough creativity and dedication, performers can create something extraordinary out of flags, rifles, and music.
The 2020-2021 season tested that belief in ways no one anticipated. When the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of in-person competitions and sent every ensemble scrambling to reimagine their craft for a new format, WGI needed a piece that honored what the community had endured — and celebrated what it had found a way to accomplish anyway.
John Flower Productions produced and edited this montage as a tribute to that resilience. It captures the creativity performers brought to an impossible situation, the determination that kept the activity moving forward when everything around it had stopped, and the spirit that defines the WGI community at its best.
For JFP, this is the kind of project that reminds us why storytelling matters. Sometimes the most powerful productions aren't about products or brands — they're about people who refuse to stop doing what they love.
